Government backs lawlessness

Good letter appeared in the Parkersburg News and Sentenel this past Sunday: March 6th. Do you agree or disagree?

Lawlessness.

Forget the debates over unions and homosexuality's legitimacy. The most pressing issue of recent weeks is lawlessness. When Democrat lawmakers in Wisconsin and other states see they don't have the votes for their agenda, they flee in order to refuse to participate in the process. Then, the president abruptly decides (interestingly, at a time the news loops are saturated with the Middle East and Midwest events) he will no longer defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act. Lesser known but illustrative of the point is Eric Holder's Justice Department's failure to prosecute pornographers with obscenity charges during the Obama administration's arbitrary rule.

Lawlessness.

I was taught that America meant obeying laws, even if you didn't like them. If you didn't like them, you could work through elections to change them, but you still had to abide by them while they were in force. We now see a ruling class that treats its subjects and its responsibilities the way Third World dictators do theirs - the way monarchs of ancient kingdoms ruled by whims. And with the economy hurriedly approaching Third World status, maybe it makes sense that we are headed that direction.

Lawlessness. Watch with a wary eye for more.

The seeds for this were sown when they took god out of the schools and promoted heathen behavior in folks youthful years. Now these same ones are our values lost leaders.
