Come on summer

So Friday evening a few friends and I decided to take off to the beach. We drove 6 hours and got there at 2:00 Saturday morning. It rained all day Saturday and was chilly Sunday. From the balcony of the condo I watched dolphins playing Sunday morning. Got home at 9:00 Sunday night and wished that I'd just stayed home. But oh well, you live and learn.

Re: Come on summer

I hate when the weather totally screws up what could have been a good time. And the worst part of it is that it appears to be doing that more lately. The wall of rain that covered the country from Vermont to Louisiana was impossible to get away from. It got a lot of us this past weekend. I'm just hoping it gets all this wet stuff out of it's system so that we have a nice sunny summer. Perfect boating & beach weather. Lord knows I'M READY!!!!!!!!!

Re: Come on summer

After 15" of snow yesterday I am more than ready for it. That is our 3rd major storm in 2 weeks. The bad part is it had finally melted a lot of the earlier snow with the warm temps and rain. Now we have all this snow over top of MUD!

Re: Come on summer

I should keep my big fat mouth shut but today is just gorgeous here in SoCal! It was in the high 70's with thin clouds overhead and a light breeze. Tomorrow I head for my veggie garden and start planting spring and summer things. I'm grilling fillet mignons for dinner tonight along with baked potatoes and asparagus. Oh! And French bread.

Re: Come on summer

We went from borderline serious flooding around here to 2 inches of fresh snow last night. Supposed to warm to 40 and melt today and then continue that trend for the next week. 40's during the day and 20's at night. Sap run weather. Most all the shacks around here are cooking syrup and the run will come fast at those temps.
