What happened to tire prices?

Not a month ago I was pricing tires for my truck. One brand I looked at a few weeks ago were $140 a tire. Today they are $151. WOW

Re: What happened to tire prices?

I can still get them cheaper installed locally. Yes I priced them both.

Re: What happened to tire prices?

HA tire rack, yes thats where i got the price update on mine. and at the goodyear store near my shop, it would STILL cost me more to get them there, than it would to get them at TR including shipping! what a ripoff the tire store is

Re: What happened to tire prices?

Ya, nobody beats their price. Especially if you have a TR "partner" install them. You tend to get a break on shipping and on install.

I only wish I could get tires for that price up here. If I recall, I paid somewhere around $240 to replace a tire on my truck last year. The pi$$ off part was that the truck was new with only 8000km's on it when some low life peice of _____ decided it would be fun to go around town slashing tires for kicks. I think they did around 30 tires that night and basically got away with it with only a slap on the wrist.
